Rosy Poetry for Isolation and Quiet Time

Video

Hello natural beauties how are you? I’ve been looking for some fragrant inspiration during isolation and quiet time. I came across some lovely poetry about flowers and picked some special poems about roses, just for you. There is something so special about old fashioned, heavenly scented roses in a garden, and that is exactly what I picture when I read these poems. I hope you enjoy them.

The Rose Family

by Robert Frost

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple’s a rose,
And the pear is, and so’s
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only know
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose–
But were always a rose.

Nobody knows this little Rose

by Emily Dickinson

It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it —
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey —
On its breast to lie —
Only a Bird will wonder —
Only a Breeze will sigh —
Ah Little Rose — how easy
For such as thee to die!

A Red, Red Rose

by Robert Burns

O my Luve’s like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve’s like the melodie
That’s sweetly played in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry:

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho’ it ware ten thousand mile.

One Perfect Rose

by Dorothy Parker

A single flow’r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet—
One perfect rose.

I knew the language of the floweret;
“My fragile leaves, ” it said, “his heart enclose.”
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.

Why is it no one ever sent me yet
One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it’s always just my luck to get
One perfect rose.

Do you love roses too?

Vegan Perfumes at the Sydney Vegan Market

Video

Hello natural beauties! I hope you’re all well and fabulous. This week I had a stall at the first Sydney Vegan Market in Marrickville in Sydney.  I loved meeting beautiful people and chatting about botanical perfumes, essential oils and being vegan. I had planned on doing some filming during the day to talk about my perfumes but it was so busy I didn’t get a chance.

I was happy to showcase my range of perfumes that correspond with my book Revelation! Most people who ventured into my “scent tent” were very receptive to new ideas about personal scent, and how it can be transformative. Yes!

I manage to talk about all the products I’ve brought with me EXCEPT my beautiful perfumes. Next month that will be my goal – a walk through of the perfume range.  And here’s a link to my shop so you can buy the perfume of your dreams from the comfort of your couch

Until then, keep popping back to see me and next week I’ll post the link to a free ebook I’ve created.

Thanks, Suzanne.
