My Jasmine – A Countdown to the Southern Spring ~ Week 3

This is week 3 in the thrilling account of my countdown to spring in Sydney. The jasmine out the front of my place is my guide. I don’t get a lot of sun so I’m sure I’ll see some little jasmine flowers elsewhere first – but here are a couple of pics of my little buds:

My Jasmine – A Countdown to the Southern Spring ~ Week 2

My keen eye has been on the jasmine and the buds are getting rosier and juicier. Here is my pictorial countdown to the Aussie spring, 2016.

One week on from the first pics and I can see the plumpness in each potential little flower. The reason I’m so delighted when I see these little buds, is that I really don’t love the winter and when I see the jasmine, I know it’s getting warmer, and closer to summer.

A (Botanical) Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Hello aromatic enthusiasts! I hope you’re doing well after the equinox, settling in to a new season. I am lamenting the loss of summer, but it’s still quite warm here so I have been lucky enough to still see the frangipani blooming, the rosemary flowering, and smell the sweet pungent murraya. Here are a few pics from my past week ……

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could smell these beautiful, natural scents! I’m sure in the future we will be able to insert the fragrant data into our communications, and that will be very cool when it happens.
