On this winter solstice in the southern hemisphere, and the summer solstice up north, now is a time of change. You are needed to save the world. Can you do it?

Everyone I meet has a different opinion on the state of the world, but there is one common thread, and that is, that there is something changing. You’re right. There are a lot of things changing, and they have been for many years and now we are finally noticing the signs. We can connect with someone on the opposite side of the world without having met them. We can do this through breakthroughs in technology, which are available to more and more people on Earth. We can topple governments and create change at a grassroots level like never before. It is quite amazing. It is futuristic and very sci-fi. The future is here and if you think time is going fast now, it will only appear to be going faster as we expand in the space-time continuum. We are speeding up exponentially, driven by technology but when will our next spiritual evolutionary jump be?

Caught on camera somewhere in Sydney

My secret to the evolution of human consciousness in our time on this planet is lavender oil. Essential oils represent a link to our past, and a beacon for the future, as they are simple agents of change. They are healers of our collective psyche, and panaceas of our individual worlds. A drop of lavender on your wrist, at the bottom of the shower, in the bath or cleaning your bench tops, could start a wave of solidarity, leading to a critical mass jump to the next level of evolution. How? The molecules within a drop of essential oil move through the spaces in our mind to our souls, allowing miracles to unfold. They slip through matter in waveform, and work their secret magic.

Ah lovely lavender

My simplistic formula for our rise to the next level of humanity is one drop of lavender oil.

Lavender will always be stylish!

I know you’re reaching out to your fellow earth dwellers, on a one-to-one basis, exchanging information and love. We don’t need to be controlled by hierarchies of terror. Just love. And that’s what you are doing now if you are reading this, writing your own blog, running your own business, donating to charities, interacting on social media, or going out into your community in the flesh. This is a time of co-operation not competition. Essential oils can help us change focus in a matter of seconds, so when you get bogged down in life’s daily ups and downs, crack open that bottle of lavender oil and take a huge whiff.

Exhale.

Continue.

fun with amber glass and essential oils

If everyone could experience a drop of lavender oil each day, we may be able to breakthrough the limitations we have come to believe actually exist. We allow our limitations to flourish with a collective agreement about how life “is”. Inhale one drop of lavender, exhale love, limitation, change, spiritual expansion and the power of oneness.

“The Brain – Fast – Galactic

Essential oils work via the nose into different areas of the rain – both the cognitive and the ancient centres. The brain translates this information to effect change in the body and emotions.

The ancient part of the brain is called the Limbic System, which engages in the moments when a scent takes you to a specific memory. It is so strong you feel like you are right in that moment again.

Divine jasmine!

Have you ever smelt something in the air and suddenly been connected to an event, time or person in your life? It could help you remember a holidays as a child, or being with a beloved elder who has passed. It is powerful and quick. Detecting a scent can also conjure deep negative feelings about something too. Although the process of scent and emotions can be scientifically reduced to a point, it’s the bewitching nature of these instances that are the most fascinating. Are we connected to the past or are we connecting to multi-dimensional existences.

Me with my perfumes

Essential oils have been used for thousands of years through many cultures, to inspire mind-altered states, offer beauty and inspire creativity. Using essential oils may help with creating better feeling emotions, and in turn, simply be default, diminish emotions and feelings like stress and uneasiness.

If the body is earthly, then the mind is resonating on a galactic level. The mind connects the body to heavenly possibilities. Dr Joe Dispenza, a great neuro-scientist, says the mind is the brain in action.

The Milky Way – our little spot in the universe

Our mind = The Galaxy

+

Essential oils,

allows us to

  • open our minds – quite literally, as the scent travels the nose into the brain

  • awaken our mind, to logically define desires and goals

  • be motivated to take action toward our desired life

  • cohere the mind and body, to help determine our place in the world”

Juniper – A Three Word Buzz

Hello natural beauties and scent lovers from all over the world! I absolutely love juniper and often go through stages of wanting and needing it all the time. It’s crisp, clean and fresh and in aromatherapy is used as an astringent for oily skin, to help with joint pain and rheumatism, as a diuretic and can be seen as a gentle detoxifier. I often use juniper to cleanse and release heavy, watery emotions. It’s made from the gorgeous purple berries of the juniper bush – Juniperus communis.

And of course juniper’s real claim to fame is its integral part in gin. I have been known to accidentally ask for a “juniper and tonic” once (possibly twice) before.

There’s one thing for sure, this oil has a distinct and delightful scent, and here are some Australian perfumers and “noses” to give you their 3 word buzz on this unique oil.

Hello natural beauties from far and wide. Eucalyptus is one of the more widely known essential oils, and is grown on many continents. China is one of the world’s biggest producers of eucalyptus oil and the European Economic Community are the largest importers of the oil. The Australian industry was the first to bring this stunning oil out into the world in the early to mid 1900’s and since then has continued, not only with oil production, but also the creation of many eucalyptus oil products.

There’s one thing for sure, eucalyptus oil has a distinct and powerful scent, and here are some Australian perfumers and “noses” to give you their 3 word buzz on this unique oil.

Refreshing and uplifting, the scent of basil can be quite soft as well as pungent. Often described in aromatherapy terms as “cephalic” (pertaining to the head), it is an expansive oils as it works on your mind and your brain. What’s the diff between your mind and your brain? The brain is the organ which helps run the body performing amazing functions at a very small level. “The mind is the brain in action” says Dr Joe Dispenza the wonderful neuroscientist. The mind is multi-dimensional and allows us to understand, comprehend and evolve. How to Smell an Essential Oil

question-mark

Is there a correct way to smell an essential oil?

Well, I suppose the most important thing is to be careful if you’re a sensitive person.

Once you’ve had the experience of the essential oil you can probably be a bit more adventurous with how deep your inhalation is. Inhaling an essential oil can wake you up, stimulate your brain, and give you a wonderful burst of healing scent.

There’s a cute tip in here too – how to sample a blend of oils before you go ahead and scent your space or make a body oil blend. I might say “stunning” a few too many times …..

Thanks so much for watching lovey people.

love essential oils - they will love you back

love essential oils – they will love you back

So yes, I’m quoting myself again, thanks for hanging in there with me. You know I’m right and that’s why you’re here, right now, reading this.

There is a magical presence when you open a bottle of essential oil, as it travels through your brain to the ancient limbic system. Here your experience of the scent is translated across platforms into information that can be converted into memory, and connect us to elusive feelings of knowingness. We can use these newly created memories to tap into a higher intelligence – which is within us all the time – but just might need to be activated.

Essential oils are divinely scented tools to help us evolve into kinder human beings.

Ah the wonders of a universe vibrating in waves of potential!

10 Recipes with Basil Essential Oil – Ocimum basilicum

Beautiful aromatic basil

Beautiful aromatic basil

Basil is a herb from the Lamiacae family and the genus Ocimum, and has been flavouring our foods and healing us for centuries. It is a scent you won’t forget – green, herbabceous sweet and pungent. As an essential oil basil (sometimes referred to as sweet basil) is stimulating to the mind opening the upper chakras and giving the brain a cleansing, refreshing scent.

In aromatherapy basil oil is used –

* as a cephalic which means it stimulates the head in general so if used in small amounts it could help a headache. Some basil oils can be high in linalool oil which is present in large amounts in lavender.

* to ease stress and tension and calm mild anxiety (you may notice lots of essential oils are attributed to this use which shows that they can be easily used to help you relax – even if it’s just for a couple of minutes)

* as an anti-inflammatory agent for joint pain

Sneakily borrowed from thepoofairy.com (hehehehe)

Sneakily borrowed from thepoofairy.com (hehehehe)

There are many types of culinary basil but so far the winner in terms of essential oil production is this basil – sweet basil. When using this oil it can be tricky to get the proportions right because it’s so strong. Sometimes a drop is all you’ll need.

Let’s check out some recipes –

10 Recipes with Clary Sage Essential Oil – Salvia sclarea

10!

10!

I tend not to use Clary sage very often but maybe that’s just a phase I’m going through – I used it frequently when I was first introduced to essential oils. It belongs to the Lamiacae family and the genus Salvia. It is a strong sweet, heady oil with an herbaceous note. Clary sage is an expansive oil I consider it to be a very spiritual oil, as it relates well to the crown and third eye chakras. It seems to have the ability to open our conscious minds, and stimulate the subconscious to stir. I use Clary sage as a stimulus for the dream dimension – daydreams and night-time dreams, which can help shape our lives.

Looking back over the centuries it has been employed to help people over come depression and melancholy. Clary sage is an inspiring oil and has been to referred to as an  oil of euphoria. We can connect to the creativity of the universe too when we encounter Clary sage.

The essential oil is made from the flowering tops and the foliage

It is also powerful as an analgesic particularly in regards to period pain and I’ve used this oil with pregnant clients in preparation for labour and even in oil blends in a birthing suite. It also works well for symptoms of menopause.

Let’s check out some recipes –

1. Nourishing Body Oil Blend

For a coat of your body use 3 teaspoons of carrier oil in a little dish and, add 7 – 8 drops of essential oil.

(depending on the packaging you have, you may need to use a little alcohol -like vodka- at the bottom of your bottle first, so the oils disperse into smaller drops to prevent clogging the atomiser top. I’ve found sometimes it works just with water, and sometimes it doesn’t – very annoying!)
